Identify your interests, future hopes and possible careers.

Prerequisite:
Completion of Activity 18 (or an interest inventory).

Schedule
time with an adult, such as a teacher, counselor, parent or other
family member to discuss your future. Use the topics listed. Take
notes during your discussion. Use Activity 21 worksheet on the Post-ITT
Website.*
- Talk about what you see yourself doing five years after
graduation.
- Describe at least three strengths or skills that you
see in yourself.
- Ask the person who is working with you on this
assignment, to describe three strengths or skills that s/he sees
in you.
- Discuss jobs/careers where you could use your strengths
and skills.
- Discuss which jobs match your interests.
- Consider which of these jobs fit into the vision you have for yourself in five
years after graduation.
- Talk about how college will help you reach
your goals.
