Schedule time with an adult, such as a teacher, counselor, parent or other family member to discuss your future. Use the topics listed. Take notes during your discussion. Use Activity 21 worksheet on the Post-ITT Website.* Talk about what you see yourself doing five years after graduation. Describe at least three strengths or skills that you see in yourself. Ask the person who is working with you on this assignment, to describe three strengths or skills that s/he sees in you. Discuss jobs/careers where you could use your strengths and skills. Discuss which jobs match your interests. Consider which of these jobs fit into the vision you have for yourself in five years after graduation. Talk about how college will help you reach your goals.

Write a summary of the above discussion. Conclude your summary by listing at least three ideas you learned during this discussion that you could use to set your goals.
