Researching Colleges in
   Any State

The Google™ Search Engine gives you the ability to not only find college or university Web sites easily but to search them as well. Simply:
  • Go to Google™ Universities

  • Type in the topic that interests you, and

  • Research your topic.

Here is an Example

Let's say you were interested in The American University and wanted to know about disability services office procedures.
  • You would type:
Google™ Options, Universities - no script Google™ Options, Universities into your Web browser's address bar. The search engine will give you a choice of thousands of colleges and universities to choose from.

  • You find "American University" and click that link. The search engine now gives you the option of directing your search in American University's Web site.

  • Type "Disability Services" in the space provided and then hit "search". The search engine returns links to Disability Services at American University.
If the term "disability services" does not return any links, try the terms "disabled student services", "access services" or "student services".

You can search for many services and topics of interest in this way. Try looking for information on financial aid, tutoring, housing, parking or anything else you want to know about.
