Two year schools usually require placement testing to ensure college readiness. Scoring below college level will result in a referral to Adult Basic Education or developmental classes. These courses are taught with the aim of increasing the student's skill to enable him or her to enroll in college level classes. Students with appropriate disability documentation can be qualified for testing accommodations through disability services or the testing office. Contact individual schools for specific procedures.
