College applications vary with the type of school. Some 2 year schools require a very simple form compared to 4 year schools, which generally require the application form, essays, letters of recommendation and high school transcripts.

College essays can be difficult. There are many "sample college application essays" to be found on line, using an Internet search engine. Many students with disabilities should consider the extra time they may require to produce a quality essay.

Letters of recommendation often require lead time. Teachers and counselors appreciate early requests. A short information sheet will help them.
