Adult Service Agencies operate very differently from educational institutions. It is important to pay close attention to all eligibility and application procedures. Meeting deadlines and keeping appointments become crucial. Missing these may be used to deny services. Students will learn about agencies through research. School personnel may also be good resources for this information.

Learning about the agencies mission will provide information that you can use in the application process. For example you wouldn’t apply for employment assistance from an agency that provides health services.
