Activity 39

Colleges vary on what assistive technology is available on their campuses. For example, if a student prefers one screen reader over another, it is a good idea to find out if it is available at a college of interest. Talking with the Disability Services office may be the simplest way to find out what is available. Colleges are not required to provide the preferred technology but only one that will ensure equal access.

Review Activities 10 - 17. The emphasis of these activities is for students to take an active role in determining what assistive technology will work for them.
