This United States government site has comprehensive information about college and links to related sites. It includes a section for high school students, which emphasizes the importance of planning. Ladders to Success, a Student's Guide to School After High School Written by Jennifer MacKillop, MSW, Ladders to Success walks students through the steps of planning and applying to college. It can be downloaded from the Puget Sound Educational Service District. The Washington State Center for Change in Transition Services The Center has several helpful publications. Consider downloading: The Guide to Transition Services and the Functional Vocational Evaluation Guide. A Call to Parents, A Family's Guide to High School and College Success A Family's Guide is sponsored by the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges and the Washington Association of Tech Prep Directors. College is Possible College is Possible is a resource guide for parents, students, and education professionals that includes sections on preparing for college, choosing the right college and paying for college.
