The Post-ITT Planning for College Guidance Activities provide a framework for action. Students explore their interests, set goals that related to those interests and start taking action to reach those goals. They will need your help and that of the school counselor and parents. Although these activities are packaged in discrete units, planning for the future is a never ending process. Use them as a springboard for other lessons, individual research and class discussions. Encourage students to think of this planning as the serious and essential work that it is. At the same time, help them understand that it is dynamic process that is influenced by new insights, financial necessity, and changing opportunities. |
